Each week, the storyteller receives a carefully chosen question prompt designed to spark memories and reflections. Over 52 weeks, their stories become a rich collection of family history and treasured recordings.
The Story Session
A storytelling experience completed in a single sitting (or many if preferred) with question prompts provided as a guide.
Perfect for families who want to sit down together, reminisce, share stories and record meaningful memories without the commitment of a year-long program. Gentle prompts help guide the conversation while allowing storytellers the freedom to share whatever feels important to them.
How It Works for Life in Voices
52 Weekly Prompts Sent Straight to Their Inbox
Receive Weekly Emails: Every week, the Storyteller receives an easy-to-follow email with a question prompt and a 'Start Recording' button.
Click and Record: They click the link and are taken to a simple recording page. From there, they just press Start Recording and tell their story. They can Pause and Resume anytime, make multiple takes, and choose which ones to submit.
Submit: After recording, they hit "Submit,"
Recordings: Recordings are then sent to the nominated person/s for listening and downloading after submission. You will also receive a quarterly email summarising the questions and recordings.**
Prefer to keep your stories just for yourself? That’s perfectly fine. You can save your recordings and choose to share them as a gift whenever you wish — simply don’t add any recipients, and all recordings will be sent directly to you.

This is designed to be as user friendly as possible, with non-tech savvy people in mind, however, you do need an internet connection and access to email.

The storyteller receives an email with a recording link and a collection of guided prompts designed to encourage meaningful conversation and storytelling.
Click and Record
They simply click the recording link and begin sharing their stories.
They can pause and resume recordings, make multiple takes, and record at their own pace before deciding which recordings to submit.
Submit
Once they're happy with their recordings, they simply click Submit.
Their stories are securely saved and ready to be shared with nominated family members.
Receive and Treasure
Recordings are delivered to nominated recipients for listening and downloading.

We take your privacy seriously. All tools used to capture and store your data are secure and fully private. Your personal information and recordings are never shared without your consent, and you can always email to request deletion of all stored data. We do have a retention policy of 1 year in which your data will be deleted.
